There are many different Ipods that have different designs, colours and features and there are also different levels of storage space included. The storage space is very important as this dictates how many songs you can fit onto the Ipod, Ipods use a hard drive to store the songs and it is the size of this hard drive that is important. The sizes range from 512 Megabytes (MB) to 30 Gigabytes (GB) and over and there are roughly 1000 Megabytes in a Gigabyte to a 4GB Ipod has eight times the storage space of a 512MB Ipod. So this means that the Ipods with a large hard drive store many more songs than the Ipods with smaller hard drives so it is well worth buying an Ipod which has a large hard drive as these can hold your entire music collection. (As a general guide a 4GB Ipod can hold around 1000 songs but this varies due to the length and quality of the songs themselves).
There are several different Ipods that you can buy and they differ in the amount of storage space and features that they offer. The standard Ipod is the best Ipod as it offers a huge storage space of up to 60GB (which can hold 15,000 songs!) and also offers other cool features such as a colour screen and video playback, the standard Ipod comes in black or white and looks very cool indeed. If a cool looking Ipod is your thing then will want the Ipod nano though as this is ultra cool, it is very small and thin and looks incredibly smart. The Ipod nano has less storage space but still enough for 1000 songs with 4GB of hard drive space. There is then the Ipod shuffle which is the cheap Ipod, it has a small hard drive (512MB is the smallest) and no screen but is very cheap for an Ipod and is still of a very high quality.
